Tech Support L4Ds are laggy :/

So yeah, both L4D games have become laggy in my laptop, the sound is choppy too. The problem is that I used to play those 2 games in this same laptop and they ran just fine last time. The settings are the same as before and all. Also, TF2 is working as good as ever.

Just in case here are my laptop's specs

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz
Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 512MB
4GB RAM

Any idea guys?

EDIT: Oh, and Serious Sam TSE HD works fine too, and it seems to be a more graphically intense game :/
