Movie ruined by it's own fans

Which of you guys likes this Idiocracy movie? I'm asking so I know who to HATE FOREVER.

No I guess it's pretty funny but I seem to hear a lot of this movie's fans actually buying into the movie's (I'm assuming) extremely hyperbolic 'warning'. This seems pretty douchey. But hey, if you want to nuture a massive superiority complex* by indulging in the self-serving fantasy that is Idiocracy, be my guest.

Idiocracy is a great example of something that is ruined by it's fans for me, esspecially considering how many of them I have personally encountered who would likely be passengers on the Golgafrinchan Ark Fleet Ship B. Feel free to offer a counter-argument, or simply share something you would enjoy pretty well except for it's fans.

*Yes I am aware of the irony of feeling superior to people who feel superior. An xkcd for reference**
