They're pretty close together, I doubt if Kit would get off more than one shot before Jeanne is on top of her. If Kit misses, or fails to fire, she's in big trouble. She'd have to be pretty flustered, though, to miss at this range, or to miss her chance to shoot. Jeanne does have her worked up, but I wouldn't think she'd count on it.
So maybe she knows something Kit doesn't know. Like she has a sniper positioned nearby, or she's got some anti-bullet magic, or something.
