worst invention ever?

I believe somebody had already put this here, but I shall agree that Communism is most likely one of the worst inventions Mankind ever came across.

I agree that it's foundations are good, but... it's the easily-corruptible side of it that makes it an ass.

Anarchy could probably come a close second (alongside with totalinarianism and other single-ruling, one-man-one-vote systems)

Also I would think WAR is another one of them stupid human inventions - but what spawned war would be even more stupid, which is:

Disagreements. Of any kind. That leads to physical harm/violence. Voicing your thoughts aloud is nice and dandy, but not if another person is prepared to brutally smash you over the head with their own opinion.

But I digress. The world would be a better place were it not for the fatal imperfections of the human mind.

Also, to maybe disprove of your previous statement about escalators and such, Synchronised - there ARE flat escalater strips that allow transportations of trolleys and stuff. In Australia, that is. Not sure what you guys have over in wherever you guys live.
