Through the turmoil of the gigantic, epic battle comprised of ridiculous combatants and even worse heroes a new, a deafening sound was heard. Deafening even to the ears of those who endured explosions at point blank range located within their ears without any notice at all. It surely must have came from some type of explosion (Even one of an unusual types of explosions such as the explosion of choas formed in a wave), and of course using such broad parameters the sound DID come from an explosion.
Though that was only in the loosest sense. For, it appears the sound originated from a spherical mass that quickly expanded outwards engulfing all in its range before receding and dissapearing just as suddenly as it came. Very charectaristic of explosions, but that was where the similarities ended. For when the pseudo explosion was described before, it mentioned mass, where in fact there was no mass. Difference number one. The 'explosion' was in fact comprised of something beyond matter, though it did produce its fair share of light. Though, even with the abundence of strangely luminescent blue light from the 'explosion', there was no smell of burning flesh, nor was there any sample of said flesh, as the 'explosion' was in no way comprised of fire or heat. Difference number two. Finally for those caught in the 'explosion', there was no so much pain as... there was the absence of pain and of feeling. Much akin to those who suffer frost bite, though the 'explosion' in no way was comprised of cold. Instead, it was a direct violation of their being, NO not that way Krylo, for those who could stand looking directly into the light, they would see any weak willed individuals within being rapidly written into a code, broken down, then dissapearing from thin air. In short, it was much much horrible then any (most) explosion that had rocked the mountain, even worse then Premonitions bomb which still did a very healthy amount of damage. It destroyed the very souls of those caught in it. The victims of this 'explosion' were those foolish, stupid, and gullible Gaian's attempting to rush back through the portal back to their home city to assault the moderator keeping control of the portals. Of course, predictably they were rebuffed by this same moderator. That normal looking man, with a slightly overlarge cannon on his shoulder. "Now now there, who ever said you all could come back. This is what you wanted isn't it?" the man said in a cheerful jovial tone of voice as he rolled his head working the creaks out of his neck. With a slight smirk on his face he takes one step, leaving himself halfway through the portal, one foot on either side. Reaching downwards, with the cannon still precariously placed on his shoulder he took a ciggarette out of his pocket and lit it. With a slight smirk he looked over to Haeru and inclined his head in recognition. Winking (in an entirely non sexual manner) to her he started to smoke the ciggarette. As he did so, the Gaian hordes turned forwards. And another dozen or so portals opened up behind him.
