The Rules of the Game
Please note that it is not just a copy and paste of CmP's post, and read the whole thing. There are some differences.

There will be 25 players in this game. The Game Organizer will assign each player’s role at random, and will PM the roles to the players.

1) Of the 25, there will be five Mafia members. One of the Mafia is the Mafia Don, and will report to the GO. The Mafia may communicate to each other outside of the game in any means they see fit.

2) Of the 25, there will be one Police Officer. The Police Officer cannot use outside methods of communication, except when talking to the GO.

3) Of the 25, there will be one Bodyguard. The Bodyguard cannot use outside methods of communication, except when talking to the GO.

4) Of the 25, there will be one Vigilante. The Vigilante cannot use outside methods of communication, except when talking to the GO.

5) Of the 25, there will be two Masons. The Masons may communicate to each other outside of the game in any means they see fit.

6) Of the 25, there will be one Serial Killer. The Serial Killer cannot use outside methods of communication, except when talking to the GO.

7) Of the 25, there will be one Cult Leader. The Cult Leader may communicate to the other members of the Cult in any means they see fit.

8) Of the 25, there will be one initial Cult Initiate. The Cult Initiate may communicate to the other members of the Cult in any means they see fit.

9) The remaining number of players are Forumers. All discussions amongst Forumers must take place on this game thread.

RULEBREAKING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

Also, once killed, a poster is not told who is mafia and has no special knowledge the rest of you don't. Outside communication with living players is forbidden. Feel free to converse with your fellow dead/non-playing mates about the game.

Roles and Their Abilities

1) The Mafia will determine the identity of one player they want to kill overnight. The Mafia Don will send this player's identity to the GO. The Mafia Don has final say in who gets hit if there is no agreement amongst the Mafiates.

2) Overnight, the Police Officer will either A: ask the GO for the identity of one player, or B: ask if two players are something. For example, they could either PM the GO asking "What is the role of [NAME], or ask is [NAME] a mafiate, and is [NAME] the Serial Killer?

3) The Bodyguard can tell the GO the name of one person overnight they want to defend from death overnight. No matter what, if the Bodyguard protects somebody, that person will not die over that night.

4) The Vigilante can choose whether or not they want to kill a person overnight. If they decide to, they will send the name of that person to the GO. They may choose not to do so.

5) The Masons can talk to each other outside of the game.

6) The Serial Killer will send the GO the name of one person they want to kill overnight.

7) The Cult Leader can recruit one person overnight into the cult. That person becomes a Cult Initiate, and their former abilities are retained, but their allegiance is now that of the Cult. They can talk amongst their fellow Cultists.

8) The Cult Initiates can talk to their fellow Cultists.

9) Forumers have no special abilities.

The Times of the Game

Day: During the day, everybody discusses in this thread to try to reach a consensus on who is guilty of being a threat to the town, and lynch that person. This is the only time when Forumers may be active. After a vote has been reached, the day ends, and posting may not occur until night ends.

Night: During the night, the overnight roles (Police Officer, Bodyguard, Vigilante, Mafia Don, Serial Killer, and Cult Leader) will send in the name of the one they wish to target/investigate/protect. The GO will post the results of the actions of the Mafia, Vigilante (if they choose to kill), and the Serial Killer. If the Bodyguard protects the correct person, then the GO will create a story to represent that. A clue or red herring may be in either form of story.

Terminology

Voting: To vote, you will type the word Vote:, followed by the name of the person you are voting for. If it is not bolded, or otherwise not in that format, it will not be counted. Example: Vote: FenrisWolf.

Finger of Suspicion (FoS): Merely a gesture of saying "I suspect you." To correctly point a Finger of Suspicion, type FoS: [NAME] in bold. It really doesn't matter if you do this, you can merely say something along the lines of "I suspect you, [NAME]."

No Lynch Vote: You can vote to not lynch anybody and carry on straight to the night if you do not feel anybody is guilty at that moment, by typing Vote: No Lynch. It is still a vote, and must be carried out in that format.

Roleclaim: You may tell the members of the game your role in the main game if you wish. There is no format for it. You may not, however roleclaim a secret role.

Victory Conditions

1) Town Victory is attained when all threats to the town, including all Mafiates, the Serial Killer, and all Cultists are killed. All Forumers and town-aligned players (PO, Vig) win, even the dead guys.

2) Mafia Victory is attained when the remaining number of Mafia equals half or more of the total remaining number of players alive.

3) Cult Victory is attained when all living members of the game are Cultists.

4) Serial Killer Victory is attained when the Serial Killer is the only one remaining.
