Again, I did not roleclaim. I gave an example. Theres a difference.
It doesn't mean he saw through it, necessarily. He could have beleived it too and merely dismissed it in hopes that the town wouldn't go looking further into it. I never said thats what they were. I'm merely stating the possibilities.
