Making it happen.

Working 'Net mojo into Real-Life artwork?
Does anyone else do this sort of thing? For example, you're doing some bit of art, be it drawn, written, or sung/played, and somewhere along the line you decide that something only featured in your online life would help pull it together, or add a certain charm to it.
I'm taking a number of art-related courses this year, and in a decent percentage of my assignments, I've found myself unable to resist plugging some part of my online life, or integrating Loyal or Nexus into it. Even now, I'm writing a novel in my Creative Writing class where the two become significant characters later on. In Computer Art recently, we were supposed to take a picture of our face, and create a miniature 'biography' of it, describing ourselves in it. As I thought of how to handle the assignment, it became clear to me that a huge part of what defines me is found on the internet--These forums. It seemed only fitting that I include not just the real me, but also the other two online parts, Loyal and Nexus, by describing each character and how each is connected. Some text, messing around with sprites, and extensive use of the Dodge/Burn tools later, I managed to produce something that was surprisingly well-connected. You don't have to have your own artwork to display--Just discussing the practice is also fine. To The Mods: This seemed to belong in a lot of different catagories at once--The NPF Comic thread and possibly the Camwhore thread to name a couple. Having no idea where it would belong best, I decided to make a new thread for this type of thing in general. If you decide it belongs someplace else, by all means go ahead.
