I'm not on the list, am I? Wait, that's good...

Speaking of which, here's the breakdown of why some people that would look great in the mod suit just shouldn't be and why the mods here already are such great mods: 1) Unbalanced head. Some want power, some want to ban people for no reason, and some seriously need more than a few screws fixed in their head. This is most of the population in the NPF. People like this aren't suited because they can't make really great decisions and can't be depended upon. So far, mod decisions on who'll be mod have been great, but one has to watch out for their next choices. 2) Haters. Yeah, this is about 99% of the NPF. You get pissed off and then hold it in or rant it out somewhere no one looks at, and then talk about people behind their back and just plain don't pay attention to anyone you don't like. There are the obvious haters that blam people right away and publicly. When you're a mod, you can't do that, you have to hold it in. That's why it's unwise to have a real hater, it's just unhealthy to hold it all in, you have to let it all out. Mods shouldn't hate and not pay attention and backstab. 3) Nitpickers. Nitpickers are annoying, they correct you constantly, they're picky with everything, and they'll just get on your nerve, all without knowing. These guys are normally the best mods. 4) Friendliness. Friendly people tend to make the best mods, along with nitpickers. They can persecute you without you having a chip on your shoulder, they can correct you while still maintaining their charm. If they have any harsh business, they do it light and for reasons. The NPF isn't home to many nice people, but regardless, mods should always be supportive and pleasant and overall, friendly. 5) Ego. No, to be a mod, you have to not have ego. You have to be an equal to everyone, power and manipulation can't be "your thing" (dammit, that strokes me out..), and you have to be humble and not boast about things (hit a man when he's down, why don't you!). Moving on to the last thing. 6) Importance. This may not seem like a great point, but importance holds a sense of average-ness, and you have to be bossy but not in control or out there for people to listen to you. Sure, a small and rare joke about a mod might be permittable, but overall, the forum-goers should feel like they can be friends with the mods without being shot down and the forum-goes must not make them out to be a fool. A good mod is respected. There are countless other traits, like always being contactable, and there has to be a reason for them to be a mod in the first place besides friendship from higher mods. Overall, it's important to have most of the traits in this list to be a mod. It's important to be fair and friendly, most of all, though. Hypothetically, there are many people that would fit this role, but I'm sure the mods here are responsible enough to follow the advice of the community of the forum, and if another mod role came up, they'd consider everyone's good sakes above their own. -Jared Todd. I have to go take a shower, I suddenly feel the need for it for some reason. Probably because of all the sarcasm. Never before have I ever used so much sarcasm before in my life... Wow. I think I deserve a medal..
