Dramatic poses and saying dumbassed things is more than enough. Coins and crap like that just detracts from how cool the transformation is and confuses the studio audience.

I know I"M confused. I always wondered what the heck was up with those coins, especially after the original black ranger came back, Morphed with a broken coin, and apparently nearly died from doing so.

Also, I had the gold wrapped chocolate coins as a kid, which confused me even more, but also filled my stomach with yum, which was an even trade.

I want to be the On again, off again, power ranger who may or may not be on the ranger's side, at least not until he beats them 4 times, and then loses mano y mano to the Red Ranger or is led to the side of good after a lengthy dramatic flashback revealing his reasons for being evil and then getting forgiveness for it. Either Dark Red, Green, or Gold, or some mix or combination of them.

I would just love to say, that my favorite moment in Power Rangers is where the Red Ranger, tired of how the Green Ranger's Zord is capable of that super deadly tail-trip attack, does it himself with his T-rex Zord as an homage or something. It showed that even power rangers could learn something new after awhile.
