You are incorrect, I personally feel, because Booster Gold is sometimes portrayed as quite self-inflated to the point of self-adoration.

So likely he's thinking more about himself and how good beating Captain will make him look and what sort of money he can make off of a deal pertaining to the defeat of Captain(Perhaps via a canadian company who want to mock America for their icon being vanquished).
