Is it me, or did he tell them that they should read his book to know their rights, but that he doesn't want that to happen? It's like the idiots version of the critique sandwich, only instead of the compliments on the outside with useful criticism on the inside, you've got "homosexuals don't have rights" on the outside with "buy my book" on the inside.
