The joys of being an RPG writer (even if it's only a PDF release)
http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.p...ducts_id=57377
Hey guys, I thought I'd share my own recent magnum opus. It's in PDF format now, though it'll be coming out in physical form in a couple of months (available at a game shop near you!). However, I thought I'd share my thoughts on finally seeing a work of mine see print (even if it's not quite printed YET and is only now becoming available for electronic sale). It's a pretty heady feeling to finally be able to add your contributions to the world of RPGing into the "Common Knowledge" bin of Gamer Wisdom. I don't know if it'll be a success or not, certainly not until its in physical form, but I think it'll be nice to become part of something you love and share what you've done. You can read the Design Journals here on the Publisher's Website: http://www.arborproductions.com/index.php Halt Evil Doer! is based on my personal love of Marvel Comics and a few elements from DCU (I couldn't resist adding a Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman homage---I think its personally mandated in M&M universes now). I think a lot of Super Heroes settings attempt to create very dark and 'realistic' settings. I like portraying my villains as competent and capable but I personally like to see my heroes being....well...heroic. I think I managed to successfully accomplish that with Halt Evil Doer! and hope that I can continue to develop the world is forthcoming supplements. It's a pity that the physical version didn't make it for Gencon 2008 but I'm sure we'll have it ready with a few others for Gencon 2009. If anyone picks this up, I'd be happy to hear their thoughts and answer any of their questions. Thanks. |
