What I believe Arhra is trying to say is, "Could you give us some plot info on what you intend the story to focus on, so our character backstories can have a logical reason to become involved?"
A big problem with many RPs like this is that the players build their characters before the GM runs their scenario, and unless modified retroactively, some or many of the characters literally have no need, interest, or reason to become involved in the RP. In subsequent chapters, presumably the character has already become acquainted with the others and has a reason to continue working with them, but this may not be the case at first contact. If one can't adequately become involved, it makes for a very lame story.
