also, I find it rather offputting that the only time this subforum ever seems to get any sort of attention is a spectacle like this. Can't be arsed to give constructive criticism on someone's honest attempt at art or literature, but woo boy lookie here, we got's ourselves a lynch mob!

Thats because mods are the dam that hold people back from stating how they really feel about things whenever they way people really feel about things is hate and revulsion. This isn't "The mods hate it so I must hate it" so much as "The mods hate it, and that must mean I'm allowed to hate it."

I mean, honestly, this story right here is bad. If the kid actually wants to be a writer, then he can go and study how to write, make an original storyline, and so on and so on, he is welcome to. Heck, I'm not such a great writer myself. I know I'm still learning and I surely couldn't write some 5 star book in a week.

I, however, do not go posting the first chapter of some unoriginal fanfiction circle jerk under the assumption that the entire forum will like it.

I mean, yeah, I might hurt his feelings, but that story hurt my mind.
