Default Mouse Guard

I have to say, when my friend approached me about participating in a table-top RPG about mice, I was skeptical. More so when my brother found free teaser copies of the comics. I just couldn't take it seriously, what with cutesy mice being the badass heroes of the story, especially when literally everything not green is higher on the food chain than they are. But my brother made up a sheet and I sat in on the first session.

I now have my own sheet made up. XD

Like, seriously, my friend is a much better GM than I anticipated, and the group is amazing. Who'd've thunk his girlfriend (who's never done this kind of thing before) and two roommates would be so fun to RP with? I mean, I've been acquainted with them all for months now, but they're really awesome.

On top of that, the game is very well-constructed. I was also skeptical about the lack of magic, but having seen a session played out, it's not needed. You have various natural skills that take its place, like a medicine skill for healing and a science skill for making potions and poisons. Damage is handled by the margin of success in your roll, and you get another die for another success with each skill level. Skill checks are all based on the number of successes required to perform a task. It's incredibly well balanced.

I dunno, I guess this is a thread to talk about Mouse Guard or offer your own RPG finds? I was really just so impressed I wanted to get the word out.

I'm gone from here for good. This place gave me many memories to take with me and shaped me greatly. I still care about you guys. I just can't stay.
