I've heard this argument before

Er... it's not really an argument. I thought it was generally understood that "fuck you X is awesome," meant "I like it and I really don't give two shits about your quibbles."

This stuff is more in the vein of arguments:

movement controls

Meh, they aren't nearly as bad as everyone says. And the actual puzzles are so small that even if you fuck up it's not like you have to wait through a five minute cutscene then beat two bosses to get back to where you were anyway.

godawful physics engine

Isn't really that bad. I could hit an underwater switch by floating a chunk of ice up to it. It's not a great physics engine, but again, it doesn't really cause huge problems with playing.

Edit: That all probably came off more adversarial than it needed to be. Sorry, I'm having like eight simultaneous conversations at the moment.
