War Of Forces: Chapter 2, The Alexis Directive

Kardin stamped his foot as he always did when making an announcement. He viewed all his members. Vars too was there. He hadn't officialy joined. ...Yet. "Listen hard, men," he said grufly, "this is a huge, not to mention dangerous, mission." he noticed a look of hesitation in many members eyes. "A high paying one, I may add. The Roshum, a group of Kel Nu'ur, are trying to summon a God. Alexis, according to my mythology book, the creator of Kel Nu'ur. If they succeed, our cause, along with any signs of peace, will be washed destroyed. we cannot, and as long as I live, will not allow this to happen. Their base is located somewhere in the western slums. We have to find it, break in, and thwart the Alexis Directive."

Magnus listened intently from the back corner of the room, near the exit. He had recieved many odd looks as the others had entered, being one of the few humans in the group, and the newest face. he was perhaps the only one standing with all the weight granted by military dicipline. Upon contemplating the mission he called to Kardin.

"What sort of time-table are we working with here? How long until they can summon the god, I mean." he asked. "And how shall we go about stopping them?"

"Most of these things happen at midnight. We have approximately 2 hours. They have to kill one person at excactly midnight. Not a moment later or sooner. We have to find their location. Once we're there, delaying, or even preventing the killing shouldn't be too hard."

[slightly aboveaverage man]

Magnus pondered this for a moment,

Or kill the person before the time is right, if it comes to that. he thought mournfully.

His mind returned to it's tactical state. "And what course of action will we take once we find their location? shall we blindly charge in, hacking and slashing anything that isn't us, or shall we devise a more silent attack upon locating them?"

He knew he was prodding, but he had to know exactly how this Gorbonwitz thought.

"Silently. Barging in will do us nothing but harm. Kel Nu'ur are well armed at all times. I can't tell you anything more until I know how their base in constructed." He signaled towards the door. "Move out, we've no time to lose."

History: He was raised as a preist in a lakeside village,
he was a very talented healer and devoted hi life to Meri'ik. One day when he was relaxing by the lake he saw dolphin in the water, and from that day he had the power to control water and ice. He is now traveling, looking for a place where his services are needed

Areine walked through the gates of fernar, inspecting the "great" city.
"So much death" he sighed "looks like i've found a place to work."

Vars frowned. "I'm openly opposed to thwarting this action, considering I'm a Kel Nu'ur clanner. As for the killing, they make a living sacrifice by burning the victim alive. I've seen it done before. I cannot allow you to do this. My daughter is there." Vars came up to Kardin and grabbed him. "You do this if you want to, but mark my words; if any of your men so much as lays a finger on Cecelia, I'll kill them." Vars stormed out of the room.

OOC: Jaguar, it's not Kel Nu'ur in general. It's a sub-faction known a Roshum. I have difficulty believing a four year old has joined a sub-faction.

Areine Had been in the city five minutes and had already seen over a hundred bodies lying in the street. After asking around he had found out about a local peace-keeping organisation. Deciding this might be worth a try, he headed towards their headquarters.
