RaiRai, you have my best regards.
Shiney, congratulations.

May I offer a word of caution? Some of my married friends took over a year to get out of debt because of their wedding. That was really hard on their marriage. You want to get off to a great start, but don't get into debt because of it.

Anyways, good luck both of you.

Thanks guys. QQ - what's wrong with pink? Me likey!

And I don't intend to get into debt, I already am with a credit card bill and I can't afford to get in any deeper. Thankfully though, I have a wonderful friend who is loaning me money without the fear of interest and strict repayments.

For a wintery setting, I'd suggest ice sculptures, and maybe some of those things...I don't know what they are. You know, the things that you fold out, and they have sheets of tissue-y paper that look kind of like snowflakes? I wish I knew what they were called. Diamonds would be good, but you said you didn't want to go too expensive, so maybe cubic zirconia? If you have all of the guests wear whites with maybe a few diamonds or cubic zirconia, it'd make for a nice effect. Some form of white beverage, rather than punch, would be good, if you aren't going with the open bar. (Even if you are, I'm going to assume you have relatives with kids not old enough to drink alcohol, and maybe people who don't like alcohol) These are the only things I can think of...oh, and congrats!

Well seeing as if I maybe one of the only ones married here in the forum. I have lots of advice for the new couple. Being married for 7 years now and having 2 kids within those years, we have picked up lots of quirks that help having a strong marriage.

1. Take your time with planning the wedding and paying for it. My wife and I took a year and a half of planning and paying for it. So when the day came we have everything we wanted and it was paid for.

2. Live together first! I can't stress this one enough! It is great that you two love each other, but remember that you will now be together ALL the time. You can get sick of each other very easily. Believe me I am so glad we lived together for a year and a half, because if we didn't we would of gotten a divorce quick. We had to see if we could live with each other’s quirks before we could go through with the marriage. It almost didn't happen a couple of times during that small amount of time. So think about that.

3. You are not just Man and Wife, but you are best friends. Never treat the other one like a husband or a wife in the traditional since. Marriages do not work with this thinking. My wife and I always treat each other like best friends, which we are. We can talk about anything to each other. Even stuff that would break most marriages!

4. Never fight about stupid stuff. Yelling NEVER solves any problems. NEVER! Always talk in a normal voice. Never raise your voice or your hand. If you are having a big problem that cannot be solved right away. Just either go to separate room to cool off and then come back and talk. Or solve the argument with rock, paper, scissors. Now I know it sounds weird, but that is what my wife and I do to solve small arguments like where we are going to eat for the night or who is going to buy the item they want. Think of it this way, are you going to divorce him/her for this thing? Then just shrug it off. It's not the end of the world and you still love this person anyway.

5. Have fun! Use these young years to enjoy each other’s company. Cause when kids start coming along. Say goodbye to all that fun and say hello to parenting. Then the rules above REALLY come into effect!

Anyways if you need more advice just give me a holla. I am more then happy to give advice.

With a dress like that, no groom would regret his decision.

Too bad my overseas exercises ddon't go to the UK, if not i could split off and crash the wedding in my medical gear... =3
