Sonnet #86
This is a serious sonnet I wrote several months ago.
Sonnet #86 She breathed life into my soul Unaware was I For my existance was a hole Yet still she told me no lie Day after day I passed her by My feelings unrealized I never knew she had cried So from me Cupid did hide Yet she still gave me life And silence was my reply Every night she lay by a knife My time of awakening was nigh Unfortunately for me my silence was my strife For another had breathed into her a new life.

Demise.
For every word you haven't said another thought lurks in my head for every thing you want to say another worry heads my way Why do you turn away from me? Those tears, (I wasn't meant to see) but to see that pain within your eyes Was I the cause of your demise? For every time you stop to think I find myself upon the brink For every wish that you hold back I find myself losing the track Why do you hide away from me? Empty truths and lies I see but to know you're hurting deep inside Was I the cause of your demise? I wish you'd tell me where I stand we used to walk hand in hand Now we're opposite sides of the street Your eyes dare mine to meet And you still don't care that it hurts me To see you suffer, I can't leave it be So tell me the words you long to tell Keeping them inside allows you to fail I can't help you to fly or rise If you allow me to be your demise.

More of a Lul-a-Bye
It's not really a poem, and it didn't take 5 min. It was kinda on the spot everyone was yawning in the AIM chat and this just sprang to mind.
I hope you enjoy it. (I had the song Fairwell and Adieu from Jaws in mind it has a similar cadence in my mind but not identicle) ::sung as a lulabye:: Good night and sweet dreams to all ye fair dreamers, good night and sweet dreams your days work is done, the day was nice but sleep even sweeter, good night and sweet dreams till your dreaming is done.

Short one:
It's in here somewhere I just have to find it. There are depths not probed that I fear. What else could I share if not this empty pit. No matter what I say no one seems to hear. Although I try to talk no words can form. How can I express what I don't understand? My mind is an empty place in which to roam As my thoughts slip slowly away as if sand. |

Oh hi! :D
|
You tell me all these things
And you show me different Why do you shy away from my touch? Never would I hurt you Never would I hate you Never would I leave you You whispered promises of light My happiness in those words Where they really sweet nothings? You feel for me, you need me Or is it the other way around? Are my wants what forge this bond? I'm stumbling around this rough path This foreign country, I a stranger Wandering around in the dark For I need you, more than water You are the one meant for me My other half, missing for so long... Swallowing my tears, For I have lost you again Crying won't get me anywhere I am strong, I can survive But, what is surviving after You have glimpsed heaven? I sit, wondering, worrying I know that you will come back ...won't you?.... Last edited by BlackMageGirl!; 12-15-2004 at 01:59 PM. |

"Love's Burden"
In my heart, my burden lies, Pining for release. Welling up, it makes me cry, Pray for it to cease. I see her coming, my heart skips, Will I tell her now? She walks past, and my heart dips, I'd try, but don't know how. Ev'ry night, I talk to her, I could just let her know. Ev'ry night, I can't confer, This love I just can't show. This burden, buried oh so deep, With force it does compel, It's taken out much needed sleep, Makes me want to tell. On that day, my courage gathered, I spoke with her, alone. I had to say what really mattered, My feelings were my own. I told to her those three words, Said to her, "I love you." Asking her, upon an urge, "Do you love me too?" Now I stand, my heart is bared, I wait for her reply. I look at her, have I erred? Please don't let her lie.

I'm not one for serious poems, but ...
Problems You find yourself (you're alone again aren't you?) With a great absence (you're depressed again aren't you) A void you're trying to fill (You are crying again aren't you) And no one hears your calls (I have some advice for you) Seriously. Who the hell drinks whiskey and eats chocolate chip cookies?! (That's messed up.) Seek proffessional! (More advice coming) Move out of your parent's basement! (And a query) Chocolate Chips and Whiskey?! The Hell? Yeah ... Still not one for the serious poems. Authors Note: If ever you find yourself sitting on a couch drinking Fireball, and eating chocolate chip cookies, you need to realize that your life is kinda messed up, dude.

It's all rubbish.
Foil me if you will. My little scheme of sitting here; on a rusty discarded bench; watching feet shuffle to a missed beat, of a tune nobody cares to remember. A crumpled newspaper lands on my feet. Peacefully watching life drop like sweat from imperfect faces; not a teardrop, a chemical reaction; hormonal. People come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes, the wrong ones. Just like drops. A fallacy blows past me, in the wind. Polarity; my curse, my burden; drops of sweat blown away by the fallacy in the wind. Free of charge. Lying can change something, like you change your hair. It always grows out of shape. You have to keep cutting; and keep lying. Cut the thread to your life; gnaw away at the string. But it's all gone in a slice. I'm sitting here, watching legs and feet. with a scissors and some string. And a folded Paper cup that will never be the same again. |

I made a poem everyone! Yay!!! *Fireworks go off* I havent made a poem in 4 years.
Well, i hope you like it!! Ocean of Dreams Floating gently In a Ocean of Dreams Without a care in my untroubled mind I start to look around. I look to my left And I see my dark past Where childhood memories Are darker than the darkest night. I look to my right And I see millions of possibilities For a bright and hopeful future Where I can make all my dreams Become reality.

Here's a poem I just sat here and made up. Hope it's enjoyable!
Movement, reaction, all escaped grasp Sitting unmoving, your chin you clasp Lost in your own world, locking from the inside Evaluation from the outside Not considering what might be happening on the other side Clothes with holes, messy hair Wish you could pretend he wasn't there Wishing you could stand up Proclaim to them a truth you've thought for so long Prove their incosistent behavior is wrong Lacking the strength to defy them Lacking the patience, lacking the calm demure A series of sharp steps, echoing across the pavement Unable to resist unknown knowledge's lure A query is made. The man's eyes sparkle, his fingers leave their stand His knees seem to creak as they rise His conteplative expression meets its demise As he takes the woman's hand
