Default How do they stack up?

With Spider-Man 3 coming out and x3 out right now(really need to go see it) I fel the need to look back on past renditions of favorite super heroes and villians. What are your favorite depictions of said characters? from movies, and cartoons.

Spider-Man: His sort of pitiful behavior was okay for the first movie, I was unsatisfied with his lack of jokes, the second one pushed it too far for me with all the crying. I have to say my favorite was from the 90's cartoon, not to super, not to geeky and not too serious.

Green Goblin: I loved the 90's cartoon for the over the top, joker esque crazy, but the real joker happened to be on at the time so I did'nt like him all that much. Willem Dafoe was awesome in the movie and from now on I hear his voice when I think of Green goblin. In terms of apearance I favor the green fce with full, robe-ish cloak look. Seems more gobliny without the smurf hat.

Doc-Oc: personally I think Alfred Molina has the right appearance and Played Otto octavius properly, But did'nt play Doctor Octopus right, due in no small part to how they made him get the arms. He did'nt have the smug attitiude that made him cool. I did hovever like how the arms looked. Once again I go for the cartoon, especially with the accent. how many american people name their kids otto anyway? His behavior and look lend himself to that voice.

Joker: Mark-fucking-Hammil.If you need anymore to be said then get out of my sight

Batman:
the voice from the JLU cartoons and the Original Batman cartoon is great but I've never been satisfied with how he came off in the movies. He either goes cartoony, or too dark. He never has that "I'm batman, I know what brand of toilet paper you use" thing going on in the movies. christian bale did play a good batman considering the movie he was in. In Batman Begins he's still emotionally driven and angsty, but if they do a sequel I'd like him to hold down the "worlds greates detective" title better.

I see this as becoming a VS. thread WAY too easily.

The Green Goblin from the Spider-Man cartoon was voiced by Mark Hammil, in case you didn't know.

Man, I wish I'd got points on the back end of Star Wars and then I could spend the rest of my life jerking around and voice-acting for kids' action cartoons.

Ah well.

If I had a complaint about Batman Begins it'd be that they go too much Crusader Ninja and not enough Detective Master-Planner.

But then, I don't actually have any complaints whatsoever about Batman Begins, because it was totally fantastic on every level.

Okay, Bale sucks at the Batman voice. But it's Batman Begins, he's got time to learn.

Man, I still can't get over they found a guy to be Batman who actually looks like Batman.

Oh, so long as I'm on the subject - Christopher Reeves was Superman, as much as it is conceivably possible for any actor to be Superman.

This new jackass they've dug up to be Superman, well, as Superman, he looks like he'd make a great Clark Kent.

No, I believe he played the voice of... Well the orange Green Goblin guy, who's name currently escapes me. He uses the same tech as the Green Goblin, but isn't the Green Goblin.

Hobgoblin. And yes, you are correct, it wasn't the Green Goblin.

The only thing I didn't like about Bale's acting in Batman Begins is his voice when he's Batman. It's like "I've got a really bad cold, and I'm trying to sound tough" bad.

The Scarecrow rocked rocks in Batman Begins.

X-men, Spider Man, and now Batman are the only good comic book movies these days.

And let us NOT discuss the walking abortion called "Fantastic Four."

Ok... so we may not discuss Fantastic Four.
Does that mean we can still throw rocks at it and threaten to blow up its dog?
...
What?

The Hulk on the other hand, while completely barren of any connection to the comic or things like plot or sense, had tanks being thrown around overhand. And that makes everything alright. Same could be said of politics.

I know that a lot of people have a very strong emotional attachment to this work, and i am not trying to start any fights...

but i really liked V for Vendetta and the way it was brought to film.

while certian parts of the story were changed for reasons that don't need to be gone into here, i think that the character V was played well on sceen. in my mind i now KNOW what V sounds like.

thinking of other DC comic movies that have been made in the last few years...well there was Constantine.
