I second the cooldown thing. Steel needs to recharge and mourn for his cape. The poor guy's on the verge of collapse!

Don't worry, Hawk, Mangaspace will probably get some use. We'll get mobbed from all sides again eventually, and I don't do well in those situations. As to power boosts, I guess you need a good reason and GM approval.
And a cooldown time, hopefully with a view of the wreckage of the Earth Temple, would be great, as I probably won't be able to post again until tomorrow.

Well, one solution to add an ability quickly would be for Phil to summon Jusenkyo water. :p
Who knows, it might even spread his manga space ability to the afflicted!

In case you're wondering: Yes, I'm out of ideas.
Also: Yes, I know you aren't wondering.

Well, you've been saying "hug later" an awful lot.
You could say that now is finally later.

If this catching up thing goes too much longer, I can just summon a plot synopsis. While this could be funny, I don't want to keep us from proceeding.

However, I was thinking more about just utilising his wind powers to do more things. Perhaps after each Caryatid battle using knowledge learned in the previous fight to manipulate another element with wind. For example, Hawk can probably now cause dust storms to enshroud him if conditions are right (if the ground is loose dirt, sand, snow etc) for evasive maneouvers and the like (after all, he DID seem to have no trouble controlling the sands back there!), and he can probably use his gales to manipulate fire in some way, (fanning existing flames to increase their spread and what-not). Perhaps he may even have some sort of lingering effect of whatever imposition the Air Caryatid uses on us which will increase his basic wind powers. I was also thinking of some sort of freezing wind attack. Not like a normal ice ball type attack, but instead just a way to rapidly reduce tempurature with cold air. A solid wind barrier ability would be nice too, created simply by condensing the air like a normal air blast, but instead causing it to cover him in a sphere, rather than form it in front of himself in its usual ball shape. My explanation for why he may learn these? He is a warrior, he is a commander, so if he sees an enemy use a tactic he has never seen before he will want to observe and learn it for future battles he may face. Call it Observational Adaptability. I know that sounds like a lot but mostly it's just variations on his existing abilities and it's nothing too over-powered I don't think. And of course, it won't all happen at once so it will be a progression of sorts. What I'm not sure of is how much of that I can already do and how much would be considered a seperate ability, and if I would be able to slowly develop them over time.

Welcome to the order of blue mages. We don't have t-shirts, but we do have bumper stickers. They say "I may be blue but I'm never down." No, I have no idea why either.

Myself, I'm against too much power gaining over the Avvy RP as it can lead to escalation unless you have a handy reset switch. Still, things like blowing up the dust and such is fine.
Well, hopefully that boulder having a crush on Rei will give you ideas POS. My apologies, I meant the boulder wants to crush Rei. What boulder you ask? This one: Name: Flowstone Boulder Class: Insane Appearance: Being a shapechanging lump of rock, the flowstone boulder doesn't have a true shape per-say. When moving around, it generally resembles a boulder, although it will extrude spindly legs to allow it to climb over rough terrain. Abilities/weapons: Metamorph: The flowstone boulder can change its shape. It generally uses this ability to extrude limbs and spikes, occaisionally avoid attacks and impersonate an evil, toothy pacman. Tough: Unsurprisingly, a creature made of rock that can shift and reform is hard to injure. Breaking it up seems to daze it, but no-one's quite sure how one kills it at present. I suppose you want to see the other profiles too? Name: Thod Class: Insane Appearance: Thod is a hulking fungal troll, as wide as he is tall. His skin is a mottled green from the algae growing in patches on him. He fights with his brute strength. Abilities/weapons: Regenerate: Being a troll, Thod's injuries rapidly heal. Big Like Mountain: Having gorged himself on The Capitalist's mysterious fruit for a long period of time, Thod is monstrously strong and built like he could survive a direct hit from a meteorite. Thankfully, he's frighteningly stupid. Dumb Like Rock: Thod's intellectual prowess is non-existent. He's barely even capable of speaking. Strategy is not his forte, nor is any activity involving brain power. Name: Really Big Serpentine Hydra Class: Insane Appearance: Much like your regular serpentine hydra, this creature is 50% serpent and 50% hydra. The main distinguishing feature is this hydra is much larger, more powerful and has more heads - twelve in total. This is because it ate the other surviving hydra. Its bloated length is scaled in emerald patterns and when it raises to strike, it towers over people. Apparently it also hates the NPFers. Abilities/weapons: Cannibalism: While there's not currently much for it to eat around, the Really Big Serpentine Hydra can grow more powerful by eating snakes. Its not known if this ability applies to only snake-like creatures or any reptile. Venomous: As you already know, serpentine hydra are venomous. This one, being larger, has more poison. It causes cascading paralysis, sufficent doses causing death. Miasma: Serpentine hydra can also breath a cloud of poison from their many heads. In addition to the paralysis, this poisonous mist also causes choking and tends to stay around for short period of times. With its twelve heads, the Really Big Serpentine Hydra can blanket quite an area. The Sphinx, appropriately enough, remains something of an enigma. Mainly because I am having trouble deciding on its abilities. If you're wondering why the Sphinx has a grudge you may need to refresh your memory. The reasons for the other ones are fairly obvious. Well, except the hydra's reasons. It is just generally hateful and they were a bit desperate for recruits. Encounter ratings are here if you need to check. Battle as a whole is An Apple A Day. Sure one on one they'd be a pretty hard fight, but the NPFers have the advantage of numbers.
