Default Evil's Return Discussion thread 2: Because thread 1 is already full.

I am so glad my character isn't in either of the main story lines yet. I mean everyone barley posted in comparison to most RP's opening days. But damn would I have gotten left in the dust. Life sure can get in the way.

That seemed like a logical reaction. Bah, it'd be better written if I wasn't in the middle of a power cut. Or half power cut. Whadd'ya call it when your lights don't work but your computer does? Ah yes, shoddy wiring.
Anyway, I kinda rushed, and it feels a little strained. And now that I think about it, it might be a touch godmody. Does shoving a demon and a ninja out of a classroom count as god modding? I really hope not, that was going to be my tradmark...

Technically, yes. You decided for Ecurt and myself that Troy and John would let themselves be dragged out.

Steel, I think we have a slight problem, you are trying to pass through Raiden's barred doorway with a demon that has already stated that his normal though paterns are kill, kill, pain, wound. I don't know if you made it through the door.

Bah, you had to bring that up.

I didn't actually mention it because, while weakened, John is still an Outcast. I figured that some simple ward (It was just a simple incantation by one person) wouldn't really do much against him.

Plus, the other guy opened the door, not John.

I thought it was passing through that triggered it, but sure, lets just say that it is for the person who opens the door, right Raiden?

He said a demon wouldn't be able to open it. Since I'm the one that did that... I'm assuming the sigil is tied to the door, not the entry, so if someone who's not a demon or bearing hostile intent uses it, it should open. I could be wrong...
Well, if I am, or IHMN or Ecurt objects, I'll edit.

I would like to mention that my character is up (almost completely), and I'm ready.

Also with an explanation for where the hell I've been.

BTW, be warned that my guy is... well completely bat-shit insane is the unnice way to put, with crazy being the nice way. He has the view that as long as the demons are dead, the details are unimportant. Which is unfortunate for the three people he's killed so far by accident, and the countless others wounded.

Just keep out of his line of fire, and you'll be fine.

So question time; Who exactly is in the warehouse battle? Because it's going kind of slow on our end.

::nods sagely after-the-fact::

IHMN and Demetrius both make vaild points.

I suppose I should of done this sooner...but I'll give a basic explanation for god-modding.

God-modding is basically when you take control of someone else's character, or decide an action for them, etc. The classic example is this:

[i]I throw a punch at Bob, hittining him in the face.[i]

...where as the proper way of doing it is:

A throw a punch aimed at Bob's face.

And it's up to Bob to decide if it hits or not. There are, of course, exceptions to this, such as NPC-enemies that the GM has obviously set up as cannon fodder (such as the cultists at the warehouse).

In your case, Steel, you took the choice out of the hands of IHMN and Ecurt when you had them go out in the hall. You should of said that you "tired to lead them out into the hall" or something like that.

EDIT: Good heavens, you people post fast!

My characters, yours, Inbred Chocobo has his character there...and there's a least one more I can't think of.

I'm think about wrapping that up, and throw my first surprise at the high-schoolers...but probably at least not until tonight after 24...not that I'm a 24 addict or anything, mind...
