Well there are two options really:
Firstly we can lynch someone. This is generally a statisically good strategy and is one of the best way for townies to hit mafia (someone can run the statistics on our numbers if they want).
There is an exception however. If we are going to get clues from killings (which I feel we just might) it pays to not lynch anyone to keep the game going as long as possible to get clues.
I'll wait to see what others say but I think if we wait and see who talks and who doesn't it generally makes for a more fun game if we get rid of the quiet ones. Trying to fly under the radar, pah!
Now that I think about it that statement from LHN is pretty suspicious! Is he new at this or has he played before? I also throw in a POS: LHN

actually I'm thinking about this vote more, at first you just gave him a pinky of suspicion yet suddenly after he gets a vote on him you put a second vote on him. Why the change so quickly when no new information had been pointed out? Seems to me you were just waiting for someone else to place a vote before you put one on. I only gave him a POS at the start because I wasn't sure whether my reasoning was sound. I tend to think in rather illogical ways and lack conviction at times. So I wanted to hear what others thought.
Another person agreed with me so I thought my initial reasoning was correct.
Also there was at least an 8-hour difference between my initial thoughts and my votes because I went to sleep at that time. The more and more I thought about it, the more suspicious he seemed.
There was also the fact that Akamaz started picking up votes for what seems to be a random reason. The reason for voting LHN seems (to me anyway) more solid and in the first round I believe we should take whatever we can get. I'm in a very different time-zone to everyone else and there is the potential for me to miss a whole lot of activity and potentially voting and so I thought I get my vote in in case I miss anything and LHN seems the sensible vote to me now. If I am aronud for big discussions there is still plenty of time for me to change my vote.
Maybe in later rounds I wouldn't have done so but for the first round I feel we have a good reason for voting LHN and didn't do so initially because I wanted to check with other people. As I said in my initial post I thought maybe LHN was new to mafia and this was merely a newbie mistake. Someone said he had played at least one other game and that was good enough for me to vote.
I hope my random chain of thoughts makes at least some sense.

He replaced into my mafia game and has played for about 2 days (rounds, not 24hour days) so it would be safe to say he is a newbie and in my game I PM'ed everybody with there role (including townies) so unless he has played in another game I would consider him new at this.
