What is I Wanna Be The Guy?

Available from here along with its partially completed sequel, I Wanna Save The Kids, it is possibly one of the hardest games you will ever play.

It will be shown in picture form, since that cannot hope to capture the full cruelty of I Wanna Be The Guy.

Now let's see the full epic story of why you WANNA BE THE GUY and how you go about doing it.



Magnificent

So let's start.

After the title screen is the game select screen. It is unlikely to kill you.



On the left you can see my original game. I AM THE GUY by the way.

Let's start a new game on the easiest difficulty: Medium.

This takes us to the first room. Behold it, in all its glory!



Not very impressed I see? Perhaps I should tell you more about this room.

The areas of floor I've marked in red will kill you. Try to avoid them.



How could a perfectly innocent floor kill someone you ask?



The Kid is dead! I hope you're happy now.

To begin, we simply have to choose a path.

1: The Upper Path
2: The Lower Path
3: The Secret Path

Awesome. Someone else to play this game for me, just what I always wanted.

Guess I'll go with the lower path. I recall making it five or so screens into the upper; clearly it's the easier choice.

Wow, I can tell this will be awesome... I've only beaten two bosses, but I'm well on my way to becoming the guy. Also, I vote for lower, mainly because of the music (later on anyway).
