My question is if you do catch it, how are you gonna keep it from escaping once it wakes up again? Do you really want to watch it the whole time? (:p It's funny being a DM who's more of a player!)

Agrerius could probably prepare the poison so it isn't perishable. Or concentrate it a little. The stuff's semi-potent already, being naturally intended to poison and all...

I thought making an antidote for snake venom involved injecting miniscule amounts into a subject (like a horse) until it built up enough antibodies to be rendered immune. Then you took blood samples and extracted the antibodies, which constitute most of the antivenom.
Oh God, why can I see where this is going?

Well, I can imagine Agrerius trying to experiment with various ways of speeding up the process. A lot if possible. Remember, alchemy is partially magic, so although logic is good for the chemical part, the rest of it does not benefit from such unimaginative thinking . But, then again, every good experiment does need a control subject by which to compare the other results to. Or I could take the more archaic way of discovery by throwing crap together and force-feeding it to as many people as possible. Agrerius' only objections would be that of accuracy of data, and not of ethics.

This is fun.

When would be a good time to jump in?

Also, I fear that the next post in the thread may be somehting along the lones of Krylo saying "And then there was a horrible rending of spacetime as the thread closed due to postcount."

i dont know if i was clear, but im trying to wait for the snake to attack. To be honest i have no idea how well keep it down, other than just pinning it down as a group. If anyone has a mad plan for keeping it down, now might be a good time.

Come to think of it, could the snake be tamed, or would one of us have to have a ranger character or something?

The snake could probably be tamed but I do not think any of us have that ability, as far as rangers go I have no clue. They might be able to tame a beast maybe.
I could say that sonic swords man is a ranger prestige class but, it is more of a barbarian prestige class.

Eli could kill it and become the snake and we can milk him. But he is not here.
