Doc Ock was headed to the back of the police station. He told everyone there to put him in solitary confinement. A man sipping a cup of coffee asked, "Are you totally insane?", to which Doc Ock replied, "No, I'm completely insane."

Doc ock is now in jail, he can't vote, talk, use a role, or be voted for. All votes against him are null and void.

You could easily, easily, say all you need on the subject and just before a bandwagon is concluded lock yourself up. Its hardly a "You've killed yourself/have no input" scenario. But the risk in that comes if he doesn't jail himself quickly enough before the lynch gets the number of votes. Plus, its nice that he can put input, but he can't act on the input.
