Have fun with the next filler dungeon. I played through this game several times and... wow... I don't even remember half of this filler.
I guess Nostalgia drowned out these parts of the game. But at least you've met some plot-relevant NPCs. And as far as I remember the game is getting closer to the end. I think there are only a few more dungeons after you ditch Lexis (which, I reckon, is pretty soon) and welcome Artea, androgynous elf, into your party

It's hard to make the gameplay funny, but hopefully I do so with the dialogue.
And off we go to the Mountain of No Return! I'm thinking we go eastaways. I want to find whoever named all the shit in this game and strangle them. These statues have this unhealthy obsession with keeping me from where I need to go. The best solution is to put them in the way of each other. ALTERNATE ANSWER: Awwwww they in luuuuuuuv. Things did not go so well this time around. After about five tries we have ourselves a workable solution! Motherfucker! Not even evil statues can keep me away from the prize. The prize was an Aqua Sword, by the way. I rearrange more statues and head on out. You know, I'm getting a little tired of rescuing damsels in distress. These look... less than threatening... Unless you're Entei apparently. AMAZING? What? She was gonna tell me how damn awesome I am. Ah, I was hoping Artea would be a girl. This party needs to be less of a sausage fest. And she was going to thanks us before you interrupted. Draining ooze? Wouldn't that be a good thing, since that would make there be less ooze? "What if you had to steal a loaf of bread to feed your family?" "It's a trick question. The bread is poisoned and it's not your real family." No, the ooze was going into the lab. You know... I didn't really notice that before. Hm. Not-Cid shares my sentiment. Grab your popcorn everybody... It's LECTURE TIME. These aren't the real plans at all! It's not to... you know... protect the environment or anything? It's just to show off how awesome you are? Really? Dude. She's like... ten. Don't even go there. Thank God he's gone. Worst party member in the game. In my native tongue, we call it the Sun. Gigundo being a scientific term, of course. We've seen a GIGUNDO ball of light before, too! Are we sure it's that Sinistral? I mean, aren't there four of them? Kind of a logical leap we're making there. Why is everybody in this game so damn racist. That's right, Maxim. Threaten him. Nobody fucks with Maxim. No, not your Karyn. Karyn Jones. She runs the bakery. His Spirit Pressure was so strong. Even without going Bankai! I like being left out of the conversation. Don't you? I'd say the name is pretty self-explanatory. Are you sure? Maybe if he absorbs too much, he'll pop just like a Maybe you could come with? I'm just saying... What the hell kind of elf says "futz"? Why don't you lead the way? You know where it is beyond a direction on a compass, after all. Nobody else asks the important questions.

I'm not usually the one to fix posts but... here you go.
That Gigundo bit was gold. I didn't laugh that hard the entire day.

Beating an unfunny joke to death.
Apologies for the long gap between updates, yet again. This doesn't seem to be all that popular of an LP, so motivating myself is kinda hard, plus I swore off jRPGs for a few months recently. Anywho, I am going to finish this LP, I promise. It's just taking longer than it should.
When we last left our adventurers, a dirty, stinking elf had been captured by a gigundo ball of light. Snake! Get in there! Whaaaaaaaaaaaathefuckisthat So, our latest dungeon is the Divine Shrine, where you move about from pillar to pillar. That's really all there is to it. This is most of a solution for one of them. It's enough to solve it without problems. There's another I forgot to snap a pic of, but none of these are really all that hard. This room was full of monsters before I got here. I'm just that awesome. There's got to be a secret wall here.... There wasn't. Pointless grinding room I guess. Here's where doing that bit from earlier gets you. Go up the stairs and they'll take you to that treasure chest pretty easy. Which has a rocket ring! In retrospect, I should probably put it on my caster/healer, since that's the more important job than just hitting the dudes with a sword. If you aren't using a walkthrough, prepare to spend a lot of time on the ground, lost and unsure of what to do. Anyway, that other path I mentioned earlier gets you some revive armor, which was a little bit better than what I had. Forgot to check and see what it does though. Anywho, to finish this section up once you have the key (I didn't show how to get it cuz it's honestly the easiest key to find out of all the dungeons so far), go back up those stairs I gave the walkthrough for before, move some pots, and fall down a hole. Congratulations! Oh man, the torches are lighting themselves! You know what that means? Awesome boss fight coming up. Riding the moving platform. Just hit the buttons to make it move back and forth. Wheee! This passage opens up on its own for you and doesn't really serve a point. Just more building up to the awesome boss fight ahead. GEE I WONDER WHAT I DO HERE Bobomb! And here's the solution that I figured out entirely on accident. Go me! I have five of these things now. I forget how many there are total, but I'm getting close... I think. Obvious puzzle is obvious. That is the worst villain hair I've ever seen. Who could take a villain with green hair seriously? Naw, that's just a rumor we spread around to get adventurers to clear the place out from time to time. Well... yeah. Dude, you grabbed the wrong chick! And it sounded kinda fun. I don't go out much. Don't forget! He has gigundo energy! Sorry, I still didn't quite get that. Oh man, awesome boss fight, here we come! This is gonna be so cool! Karyn! Your character sprite is fading! OH GOD FUCKING DAMMIT I know, Arty. What a bitch. I wanted to fight that boss. That's why I wanted to fight him! No. Wait. I thought his name was Gigundo! Hell no. We don't like your kind around these parts. Filthy elves. We really just ran a dungeon without knowing each others names? What? And that's how I beat the WORST. DUNGEON. EVER. Dungeon was really easy, no boss fight, and then it gives you a stat boost through the door behind Artea. Really, just a major disappointment on so many levels.

Yeah I wasn't a big fan of that fight.
Though you've finally got The Party, which means you're getting closer to the epic end of the game. Though I might be biased based on my track record of loving Lufia II's music.

No Mirai, you're pretty much right. Starting from the moment you finally get Dual Blade all the way through the final button press is pretty damn epic.
The moments leading up to it are rather bizarre, confusing, AND completely unexplained, but hey the ending segment itself makes me tear up every time just from the levels of badass displayed, so I'd have to say they got THAT right at least. |

A video update? Blasphemy.
The audio quality kinda sucks. I won't be using that mic again, that's for certain. Anywhos, I don't really know what the point of that dungeon was, or where I go next, but at least I'm done with it. EDIT: I managed to throw together a version with better audio. You can either wait for that, which will be up later tonight, or just watch this one. EDIT2: I'm going to try and do another update later tonight as well. Anyone who'll be available a couple hours from now and wants to chip in with some commentary, send me a PM and we can hook up with Skype.

Watching you in that submarine hurt my brain.
You should go to a church to uncurse that Evil Jewel so you can unequip it if desired Also: There's a bow that attacks all enemies, I don't think it's the cursed one, though.
