Totally not serious.

Um, Shyria, I don't think think we're talking about shadenfreude (taking pleasure in other peoples' pain). I mean, Glenn Beck is just being a stupid. I don't think he's pained that others hate him, and I don't think the Obamas are pained by either being multiracial OR being criticized by Glenn Beck. I wouldn't be. In other news, I wasn't sure if I'd get the chance to post this here, considering how the conversation was headed. When suddenly, thanks to Shyria, it became relevant** again! Weeee! Totally how they should handle the next movie, you guys. BOTH versions! AT ONCE! I smell TRILOGY! AND GENIUS! *No, this is NOT correct, and I do not in any way agree with it. Glenn Beck does, though! (Apparently) **At least as relevant as shadenfreude!

At least Glenn Beck is bringing the term "There goes the neighborhood!" into the realm of...monthly comic books. Clearly an accomplishment for the...betterment of mankind?
EDIT: Latent homophobia was kind of weird*, though. I mean, nobody said the new Spidey was gay, and yet Glenn Beck asks if he is. *As in, for a normal person, whereas with Glenn Beck it's actually business as usual.

Now I hope that becomes the new tagline: "Spidey's back and this time, he's black! There goes the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!"

I'd say that if there was any doubt that all of this is because these people are racist it was put to rest when they FREAKED THE FUCK OUT over Nightrunner. At least when they pretend to complain about them changing an established character's race they can blend in with the frothing continuity nerds, whereas when they create an entirely new character who is a black Muslim they just flip out specifically because the character is a black Muslim.

God, now he NEEDS to be gay. And a Muslim.
Just to see if we can simultaneously give every Glenn Beck in the world an anyeurism.
