I saw Dirk pinned down and then Sawtooth nearby in a mysterious black hood. When good guys are pinned down and someone in a hood appears you know that the good guy is getting saved.

That, or the black cloak is watching the handiwork of his minions, only to get shocked and flee when the hero bursts out of the minion pile like "the one". It can go either way, really.
