The reason why I picked Raiden was because someone had already voted for him and that only very slightly makes me have a less chance of being killed. Actually now that I think about it, since IHMN has posted and raiden hasn't he would be better to vote for because then Raiden might not vote for me.
Unvote: Raiden Vote: IHMN I think either way I am screwed. |

While I was writing my last post I was suspicous of TWG because he seemed pressuring but after reading his last post he changed my mind.
Vote: The Wandering God I seriously think TWG is acting way too scummy. After reading how quickly he voted for Darth after the throwaway vote, I'm pretty sure that no matter how Darth voted TWG would have claimed it was a stupid choice and voted for him. Leading people into "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't and Assfucked either way"-situations are not normal townie procedures to follow.

The Wandering God EDIT: As of right now, I'm still the last post: Quote:
HOWEVER, I take great offense at saying I voted "quickly". I waited for a response from DarthMauler, gave him a chance to defend himself, and even put in a question for him to answer in my accusation post (Paper calulation or in your head.) And how is voting for someone based acted in a PREVIOUS GAME any cooler anyway? The Wandering God Last edited by The Wandering God; 03-27-2006 at 02:31 PM. |

TWG, most of the other people who "responded to being voted for by voting for somebody" else probably would have voted anyway.
Your logic is like looking for the one person wh doesn't think there's enough evidence to vote for anybody yet and voting for them.

So why did you vote for him? The way he acted in a previous game. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense and is very fair. As to the second part of your post... Could you clarify please? The Wandering God |

One of your points was that he hadn't voted for anybody yet.
So why not just for everybody who isn't voting? Not just not posting, but not voting despite posting? EDIT: Not for naught is my title. In another place, I earned it.

Reasons: Miscalcuation, refusal to expand on how it came about (did you do it on paper, or in your head?), and what seems to me, trying to start a counter bandwagoning. That's why I voted for him. Not because he didn't vote. But because the best way he tried to get out of being lynched was to start a counter bandwagon based on flimsy evidence. And if I went by that logic of voting for people who posted but didn't vote, then wouldn't I be the primary suspect? I love the discussion and back and forth, and to me, there is almost always something to say about the game. Of course, I'd ask why you are defending him, but since you are currently both voting for the same person, I hardly need to, now do I? The Wandering God |

I think you are confusing effect and cause.
I rather believe he is agreeing with my vote simply because I defended him, which I believe actually to be rather foolish. I defend him simply because I recall the first game I played, and how lost I was, and how much it sucked when I was killed on day one with each and every mafiate voting for me. And no, I do not refer to the first game here. First time I played was quite some years ago, it was 2001 at a summer camp being held in Saratoga NY, and the camp was funded by a place in Maryland.

TWG, I'm not pressuring anybody. I made a sweeping statement that, summed up, basically says that not voting is stupider than voting. Think of me as a Karl Marx of sorts, presenting my ideas for general consumption and hoping people like it.
You on the other hand pointed right at Darth and, however slyly, said "Hey, YOU, vote or you'll get bad attention." Thats pressure. Why, as Newb pointed out, didn't you ask anybody else who had posted but not voted to vote, myself included? My theory? You only asked the person who was closest to the chopping block, so that when you jumped down his throat he wouldn't be able to scream out his defense before the decapitation. Just for fun, what could have Darth said to convince you? Who could he have safely voted for? If he did in fact use just his head would that have stayed your vote? Or, as I suspect, were you already set on your voting path and just needed the post to cement it. My vote stands.
