Because 90% of the time a lurker lynch on day one is a vanilla townie.

I don't really think that lynching Lunaknight each and every time we don't have any leads on day one is really fair, personally.

If it weren't for Luna, it'd probably be closer to 95%.

That's agreeable.
But then he already tried to get himself lynched if you noticed. This isn't the random run of the mill of "Oh well, kill him", he baited this one. Which is the exact reason I'm not voting him because I'm afraid he's got a vengeance role because I've said repeatedly in lots of games it'd be funny if a GM gave him one, and now suddenly he's all "KILL MEEEE" this game. |

here's some data on 10 day one lynches excluding games in which majority of people were scum or everyone was town. Note: Some of the people weren't actually lynched due to unlynchability.
Dragon Lance- LHN town Totally rigged- Ogianres, town House of cards- B_real, town Superhero Mafia-Newb, Mafiate Kingdom hearts mafia- Red Fighter, Mafiate Video Game Mafia- Demetrius, SK Warcraft Mafia- Lunaknight, town Spiderman Mafia- Lunaknight, Mafia Themeless- Bookie, Jester Complete insanity- Doc Ock, town we actually have a 50% scum hit rate for day one lynches in these games. |

Yeah, i wasn't a SK in VG Mafia, I was a mentalist and got banned, allowing Mesden to reveal me... I finally had a role I could screw around with and I died...

Well, sure, it isn't fair to lynch Lunaknight every time... which is why I usually don't go after him unless he puts off a really strong vibe. But it's not fair to lynch the newbie either before he gets a chance to defend himself. It's only been four days anyway and this thread took long enough to go up; we should give him the benefit of the doubt for today and possibly lynch lurkers later on. 'Sides, if he doesn't log on it's not like he's going to be sending in any night roles.

I can't help but notice that each player listed isn't much of a Lurker, at least when accused or brought up on a chopping block. The only person on that list I wouldn't be able to confirm/say that with is Ogianres.
The rest are active and say stuff. I'm not saying no-lynch, I haven't really picked yet. But I am saying that usually a lynch on a lurker on day 1 is a vanilla townie. I'm pretty sure that's where Nayno's going with this too. |
