I will gladly embrace the role. No, I'll demand the role and make this session mine. I will lead our army of 8 and conquer the entire medium. Why make a new universe when you've got one staring you in the face, one where you can make the most awesome shit and pay for it through violence?

Derse seems to have dropped its election, which I'm thankful for. Prospit should do so as well, I think. The identity of our 'leader' really isn't gonna matter. They get the distinction of being the first into the medium, that's pretty much it. They won't be making any decisions, won't be giving any orders, unless they're actually competent enough to do so. And if they show the kind of 'leadership qualities' they'd need to keep 7 trolls under their control, they're gonna be leader regardless of some vote.

This decision isn't important enough to take it OOC. I'm thinking the only time we should go OOC for any decision is if we really need to coordinate to make a better story. But for now, choosing our leader OOC would do exactly the opposite! This is great opportunity for our characters to clash a bit, to interact intensely. This is exactly what this RP is for! Taking it OOC is gonna kill all that. So let's not do that. Let our characters work it out, let's see where this takes us. Aldurin's gonna be the first one in possession of the game, but after he starts distributing it, anything is possible. So let's see what 'anything' looks like. It'll be fun, and it'll give us a basis for inter-troll relationships that we can expand upon when we do enter the medium.

In fact, I'm thinking we shouldn't do any OOC team arrangement at all!
I mean, sure, we know who's gonna end up on which team. But in Hivebent the team selection process was a pretty haphazard, chaotic thing. Ours need not be quite as chaotic, but we certainly shouldn't line up in two nice, orderly rows. In fact, why are our characters so knowlegable already? IC we've barely received any explanation as to what the game's gonna be like, we know nothing about leaders or reckonings or anything of that sort.
Sure, we don't need to spell that info out every time, but let's at least imply that our characters are being told the stuff they don't know yet.

Just to sum this up, I think there should be the following phases, all of which happen IC, with minimal OOC interference:

1: Aldurin distributes game, players learn about SGRUB and (some of) its implicatons
2: Teams form and link up, with some confusion, some backstabbing. The whole nine yards. We end up with all the prospitians on one team and all the dersians on the other, which'll probably take some OOC arrangement. That's fine, though.
3: A leader (or, well, guy who'll enter the medium first) emerges/is chosen. People start entering the medium.

That's just sorta the way I envision it. Doesn't have to happen like that, of course, but I think that'd work. I've mentioned this to Bard, haven't received a response yet, so this is all based on my probably-nonexistant authority. But hey, I'm an advisor. This is advice. I think this way would work better than OOC elections.

Earl, distribute info about the game to at least one character on each team of your choice, one of which can be yourself. These two will the 'appointed leaders' and can be usurped if the players wish so. It is there job to spread information around and recruit the other players on their moon.

This for the most part, . It is mostly to establish entry order. Actual leadership can go to anyone actually capable of leadership if such a troll exists.

Since Earl hates Zeb, the only reasonable course of action for all of us to take now is for him to end up with leadership of not only Team Fortress, but the Trolls at large and be damn good at it.

It's the only thing that makes sense.
