I don't think I was crying at the deaths of any of Gamzee's victims, but that's mainly because the underlying emotion to that sequence was more one of fear.

Kanaya's death was the only one so far that got any sort of emotional response out of me just because of how much of a sucker punch it was.
But then she got right the fuck back up so I really can't take any character's death too seriously anymore. Especially one who was apparently considered by the author to be less of a character than the spooky wolf head.

I recall being entirely unable to take the Gamzee sequence seriously because everyone's flaws suddenly dialed themselves up to eleven and turned everybody pants-on-head stupid.

Andrew has implied that was Gamzee's chucklevoodoos influencing their subconscious and making them act towards the extremes. Whether or not that is a good enough explanation is up to you, but its an explanation nonetheless.

I had happily forgotten about that episode, thank you.
Insofar as Hussie's sudden, aggressive drive to make Vriska and/or Gamzee responsible for every single event in the comic never sat well with me, and that Chucklevoodoos have never not been stupid... No, I'd have to say it's not a good enough explanation.

Cascade seems to also imply that Scratch was responsible for guiding Gamzee to some degree.
In Homestuck, everyone is responsible for everything except when they aren't. |

I can't help but feel that these implications of UU and uu being the same person only with two distinct dream-selves/personalities are becoming too obvious.
Also currently too tired to decipher what the chess game is alluding to (other than the duel between Zazzerpan and Calmasis, which itself is either derived from this chess game, or is also alluding to the same thing this chess game is alluding to).

uu was definitely correct about UU's moving of her king to c2 being an awful move, seeing as she should have moved her rook to take the pawn at h6, putting his king back in check and keeping him on the defensive.
I'm not even good at chess at all and that was super obvious.

That last panel? I still think they're separate people and uU being a weird multiple personality troll is a red herring. But I do like the idea of double dreamselves. For both of them.
I wonder how many more times Sollux can die, for that matter.
