Flowers and sunshine don't make the news or good ratings, and I wouldn't really care anyway if it was like that. I'm just waiting to see how the Midnight Crew plays into this whole thing (don't laugh, it really does).

It already has. They're the Exiles from the Trolls Sgrub session, Spades Slick/Jack Noir is the one communicating with Karkat much like the Wandering Vagabond/Warweary Villein does with John

There don't overlap. At least not from what we've seen. The trolls are using Computers in the Veil combined with Sollux's l337 hacking skills and possibly Aradia's time powers to troll across sessions.

There are two Jack Noirs. The Jack Noir in the trolls session was exiled and became Spades Slick.

How the trolls communicate with the kids? No idea. But our Jack is the one fucking over our Skaia. No communication needed. Presumably the Black King or Queen will fuck the troll Skaia.
