Considering we had a goof with the video file, you didn't miss much.
Thankfully, I've gotten it fixed. I'll be doing a restream in about an hour.

Don't worry Shy, I'm sure you'll master the art of Knitting someday! And then you can knit your cat a warm sweater!
Or buy a warm sweater, and then just tell everyone else that you knitted it.

Yarn? Sweaters?
Yarn is for teasing kitties Shy, you should've learned that after tonight.

I can cast on, but the minute I move to make an actual knit, my brain craps out and all I do is ruin everything. Seriously, it's like some sort of spatial reasoning disorder that only affects my ability to read knitting instructions.

Ugh, yeah, that's always a pain when that happens. It can be hard to get into the rhythm of it at first. I STILL get tripped up sometimes switching from knit to purl stitches. My brain just dies.
Youtube has some good knitting tutorials from various camera angles, if that helps. I sometimes find it's nice to see someone knit from the same perspective that you would see looking down at your hands, even if it's for a skill I should already know.
