Spades Slick, reemerging on top of the sweaty troll pile that is the title of best character.

In one sense at least, writing him and the Felt seems to inspire Hussie to put out shitloads of pages. Maybe we can still get back Relentless Frenzy Mode Hussie who wrote Homestuck faster than a person could reasonably read it, for a while.
That'd be fun.

I'm not sure how I feel about these latest updates. I mean, it's a lot of meta shit with Hussie and his world and whatever. But all that meta stuff was basically established as canon so long ago that now I don't really care that it's more involved with the actual story.
Regardless it's more Spades Slick "you say, he says" narrative, and that's always something I enjoy.

Oh yeah, that narrative fascinates me. I've spent half an hour here to show why:
It's because of ambiguous dialogue attribution. I hope everybody got their color vision finely tuned, but I can summarize: We only learn about the majority of the words spoken by the characters being spoken by those characters halfway through those sentences. We don't learn if the majority of the text is dialogue or narration. I was going to map which attribution we're led to think a sentence will have before it turns out to be different, but I ran out of colors. (Teal is already a cry for help.) Also I'm only about 50% sure of the accuracy of what I did map. It's a delightful mess of ambiguity that distorts the lines between I and you and them, narrator and character and reader, observer and process and creation. Plus, you know, low-key hard-boiled fake-noir.

Eh, we could always drag in the Jack from Caliborn's game as well.

Probably plenty of doomed-timeline Jacks floating around, I bet.
