More you shouldn't have a sexualised female who has nothing to do with the actual game itself. Your ad should represent what it is in your game, not just "play this game- SEX!"

Your story has women in it. Evony does not. The problem with Evony ads is that they misrepresent the game's content. The joke is that they do so with less tactfulness than a lingerie ad.

So go ahead and put your bat person or whatever on your ads.

Let us suppose you have a sexy female character and you put her prominently in the ad, in a provocative fashion.
Let us say that someone decides "I will click on that because I want to see more of sexy female character.
Presumably if such-and-such a person clicks SOLELY for that and without any other motive or interest in the story at the very least they will see sexy female character.
Another person may click because of that and stay for the story. Or take the sexy female character's prominence as a humor point and click.

Evony does not have sexy female character to see. It also does not take it as a humor point or attempt any sort of irony. It's a simple bait-and-switch that treats you like a simple person.

The whole "check it out, our character has TITS" school of advertising is pretty stupid in general.

In a way I kind of have to commend the Evony people for dropping even the pretense that whichever random model has anything to do with the game itself, because it's not like it's ever anything more than that. I mean unless you can tell me where that one elf girl's rack was somehow extremely essential to the gameplay of Everquest.

Well the only reason I play Mumorpugers is so I can be an elf chick with a huge rack, so it's kind of essential to my gameplay of Everquest.
