It sits alone, forgotten by...
dust settles.

Those who glance, the few that sigh...
dust settles.

settles.

Move quickly on, without remorse...
dust settles.

For faded book, or rocking horse...
dust settles.

Thatchworn knick-knacks lay strewn about...
dust settles.

Infected by fate's time-scorched gout...
dust settles.

Frozen scenes, against their will...
dust settles.

To sit and wait from now until...
dust settles.

From behind red lids, those deep earthen eyes dare stare
encapture me, and tease me so with that gaze that you bear
Oh sweet seductress, just look at me, even if for a little while
the way your eyes dance with mine, the way they sparkle when you smile
I can see the sweat upon your brow, I know you're eager for my kill
but I'll keep pacing, round and round, for you to look at me still
hair sweeping gently across your face, across one eye it lingers
you pull it back so gracefully, with the softest of dainty fingers
your other hand still grasps the blade, with which you'll shed my blood
I can see the tear within that eye, soon to unleash the flood
for you can see the fear in my face, as I'm met with my demise
I kneel and accept my fate, under watch of your perfect eyes.

The waves you swim against
The pull of evidence
Is tearing at the face
You put in your place

Don’t hold the dagger still
After the blood has spilled
Unclean and weeping
through which is seeping

The beauty of a life
Anchored within strife
That shades the vision grey
And all that’s left to say

Is drop the knife you grasp
Its all I’ll ever ask
No want I hold so dear
As staving off your fear

And lay aside this doubt
That you go on about
Just know that I believe
That my tears relieve

the weight of empty stars
that travel oh so far
outside your moistened eyes
freedom from the lies

they sold to you before
they went and shut the door
those smiling evil men
to whom you’ll never bend

just know I’m here for you
whatever you go through
my faith is faded grey
yet still so much to say

and love’s the strongest word
these ears have ever heard
this mouth can ever speak
this soul can ever eke

away from dire shades
and all the slips I’ve made
and so I say this true
that I’m in love with you

The colors drained
only shades remain
to the dismal eye
which shall only cry

your words, bittersweet
to my open ears meet
and I feel color inside
along with a drifting pride

a wavering peace
of everything beneath
beneath this breast
that's longing for rest

longing to see
just beyond only me
as the the colors appear
everytime you are near

Thankyou for your heart
and for making this start
to re-paint my mind
with the words that you find

that soothe and repair
this broken maiden, bare
and make me feel anew
all because of you.

Does anyone remember…
Does anyone remember
the Dragons of ancient tales
who dominated the Earth
from China to young Wales?

Does anyone remember
all the Knights they slew
ending with the savior
who aimed his lance so true?

Does anyone remember
the Kings these knights became
whose quest and tale of chivalry
won them noble fame?

Does anyone remember
the Damsels in Distress
who turned the knights noble deeds
into a success?

Does anyone remember
that which we once sought
was a memory
that we quickly left to rot?

Summit

His dread-locks are lightly floured with ice. The man wears
a set of rose-tinted sunglasses, a pair of khaki shorts,
and a mosaic vest. And a goatee.

The goatee is important. This study
in bohemian counter-culture stands on
the brink of the chasm, teetering on the edge.

Staring between his legs into a gradient of light
and dark, he notices the flash of white out of
the corner of his eye, and thinks it an eagle.

The cold, empty air seemed
a vacuum for this turquoise infinity, interrupted only
by a pale orb of frozen luminescence. The sun flashes
against the man’s rose-tinted sunglasses as he sighs…
and steps forward.

A solitary eagle watches his descent.

Among the stars so far away
The souls of many love to say
somewhere out beyond the sun
He's hiding from the only one...

The one to love, the one to care,
The one to seek, The one who dares
To bring along the brightest star
Attract the awe from oh so far

So his love can be defined
Bear his heart to her own mind
Unmask the truth for all to see,
The truth of what was meant to be.

Love is within, yet he denies
For he will not be spared the lies
That others spread to tear apart
What lies within his fragile heart

But shining through the darkness now
Her love breaks through, no doubting how
And off into the light they ride,
Now hand in hand, and side by side.

What fate may have in store for them
Is not yet known, however grim,
But they will keep on, smiling still,
With their combined unbending will.

The Best and the Brightest

The chordless phone is still attached
The best of the best is still outmatched
The perfect body can still be toned
The avidest of gamers can still be pwned

In the darkest alley there shines still a light
In the longest of days there still comes a night
In the dryest of desserts some moisture remains
The undying opitimist can still feel the pain

There will always be someone more so than you
Get used to it: it'll get used to you
