Enmakki doesn't actually want to hurt Pierce. Admittedly, Pierce has trouble believing anything Enmakki says, but for the most part it has to be true because if Pierce sets out to prove it and finds out it was a lie then, hell, Enmakki won't ever get Pierce's trust.

The whole point is to have Pierce achieve wold domination. To do that, Enmakki needs Pierce to trust it. Pierce knows that.

Even if Impact's "evil" won't manifest until he goes half-demon (which sounds rather convenient; the guy has to have at least had ideas, some small inclination by now), Enmakki would still know everything about Impact until he goes Demon. Then it'd be up to Pierce to connect the dots between that and Impact's actions after going demonic.

Sure, Impact could pretend to be all nice and good. Except he's not that good an actor and you're not that good a roleplayer.

Pierce's reaction to finding out Impact's evil (though I think it'll just be Pierce finding out that Impact can't be trusted, which is something else entirely), would be somewhere between the two you mentioned: long-term covert resistance and direct confrontation. Somewhere between the two.

As for threatening you: maybe I'm branching out to other fields.

No, no. Our deal was that Pierce would be allowed to stop supporting Impact once Impact's leadership is established. Which would be after Mission 4, unless you want to come up with a reasonable argument for why it shouldn't.

Not that Pierce would suddenly decide to dislike Impact after Mission 4. I've got some ideas, but it won't happen right away and goddamnit why do you keep making me repeat that?

That said, I realize I probably have weaseled out of it a bit. In my defense, Impact can't expect Pierce to like him when he specifically does things repeatedly that Pierce doesn't agree with. Still, you're right.

Pierce will properly support Impact, openly, if not overtly. And certainly not fanatically. He might say a mean thing every now and then, and get pissed, but he won't go with his own ideas unless Impact is unable to perform his duties.

That said, remember to delegate.

No, AB probably won't let us have incredibly powerful SignTechs later. What I'm referring to is crap like Overblades having immunity to two types, immunity to two status effects, awesome fucking stat boosts, two attacks per turn and awesome rage generation.

Yes, I realize you probably won't be going Overblade, but someone will, even if it's just a NPC.

The other classes get comparable bonuses. Breeders get Xth-level pokemon and Ability Shifts; Devas get to eliminate type weaknesses, stat boosts, longer Paradigm Shifting and more forms. Tuners get awesome Snagballs and eight pokemon.

Specifically in regards to my six-attack tech idea, I proposed Wilhelmina's Maid to Mistress as an example. When she goes Overblade, she'll presumably get four attacks per turn and +5 to all stats for three turns when she uses Maid to Mistress.

Is that really so much different from six attacks per turn for three turns?

There's a reason Impact is a priority target that enemies like to Bind or set on fire, and you conviniently keep forgetting that.

There's the penis envy again.

Say we did leave Tsujimi at 400 stats and no custom moves. Then it'd be entirely useless. In my defense, I did say it would probably need to be depowered.

I'll drop Tsujimi to 460 stats. The custom moves and forms will stay. Then it'll be awesome, but still as defeatable as any other pokemon.

Ok this isn't really that relevant but while I had some free time today I played Heart Gold. And upon using Mystery Gift the game was like

"Ah screw it. Have Jirachi".
