I liked him too, but Kubo basically just laid a massive anti-climax with the whole Fullbring thing. At least as far as Ichigo is concerned.

they were always two sides of the same coin. That coin being his spiritual power. Its why they both fought to keep him from using its final form, since they'd both be gone

Only logical if we do have a new zanpakto, he'd be gone too.

Which is even more sad because it means they wont do anything more with his whole turning hollow thing we keep seeing.

So I hope we still got zangetsu

Really? Awesome Bleach is officially a successful long runner now. Could kind of explain Kubo wanting to stretch this another 10 years.

No, from what I remember it was always a part of Zangetsu. When Zangetsu died, Hichigo went with him.
