But yeah if you absolutely hate first-person platforming then I wouldn't recommend this game to you. Otherwise, still fun, still interesting, still funny, and oh my god there are so many puns (good ones as well as ones that are bad on purpose).

My first stream was great fun, thank you everyone who joined in, somehow I did not die so I will pickup the play though where I left off some time in the future.
I have a recording of it, but it is 2 hours and I don't think it will be as enjoyable to people who were not actually there. EDIT: Also we should make streaming a regular thing, with different people doing different games and everyone in voice chat again. Yay or Nay? Last edited by Ramary; 06-22-2012 at 11:22 PM. |

I like it, and since I'm planning on doing Youtube commentaries (which often leads to streaming for many people) it'll be one of those nice things where I have a group of friends that aren't stalkers to allow into the voice chat when I stream, while all of the peasants stay in the text chat.

To celebrate my glorious return to steam night, I am doing an LP Sunday in NPFU group chat via livestream. Just got done doing a configuration test with Psychonauts (really fun game) and am looking for suggestions for the game to play on sunday. Im willing to purchase whatever game I'll need to do the event, and my computer is high powered enough that it should be able to handle most modern games even with the streaming.
I ask that you use these guidelines for game suggestions: Has some level of customization so I can take input from the audience Is fast-paced and exciting Is fun to watch, not just to play Is either -a game I haven't played before or is -a game where multiple playthroughs can still be different and entertaining (Like Fallout or Bioshock) See you guys on Sunday! Well, looking at my list of games and what I remember, Just Cause 2 is a great one given it's open-world setting with very fast means of travel and the general goal to cause anarchy.
Alpha Protocol is the dialogue tree of dialogue trees with various fun/broken bits of stealth and action gameplay, and the pacing isn't too slow so you can keep going through missions competently without bogging things down too much. Also you'll be able to listen to us scream to you whether or not you should execute new people you meet (the decision comes up far more often than it should). This would make a nice alternative too. |

Hype
Also, how about the Oddworld games? They're even in a bundle right now (as low as 4 USD). If you've played Braid, this game has a similar time mechanic. DLC Quest may have no replay value but, is short enough for a lets play/stream. The Amanita Design games can be amusing but, I would go with Botanicula for this specific thing. I even have a free game recomendation, Spelunky. Or you could always try one of those ROM hacks (mostly Super Mario World) that make a game stupidly hard.
