I've noticed that Cops who speak out against police misconduct get dismissed as malcontents/ bad workers / etc. It's interesting to see someone whose career is completed speak out - any backlash against someone who successfully retired (and wasn't dismissed from their work) is not going to be very effective in trivializing what they say.

On another note; Social Media continues to blow up over this and I just gotta say that it's massively frustrating to see white people give idiotic, misinformed lectures about 'how THEY behave with the police' like it's at all the same fuckin' thing, or as is they've dropped some guru-esque knowledge bomb on everybody.

So, on this subject...

two officers involved failed to immediately give first aid to the fallen boy. It wasn't until an FBI agent who happened to be in the area arrived four minutes later that Tamir was given any such attention.

The police said two officers, responding to a 9-1-1 call, went to the park and saw Tamir take what they thought was a pistol from a table under a gazebo in the park and stuff it in his waistband. Police said that the boy was sitting with a group at the time.

Police also said that the officers told Tamir three times to raise his hands, and that when he reached for what they thought was a real pistol, he was shot.

The video, however, shows officers in a cruiser pull up within several feet of Rice, who was not with a group, but by himself underneath a gazebo. Immediately, even before the car stops rolling, the cruiser's passenger side door opens, an officer emerges and fires at Tamir, who drops to the ground.

The shot that struck Tamir appears to have been fired the very moment the officer stands up after getting out of the car.

So yeah the idea that this was anything but cold-blooded murder of a child by the cops involved is a fucking joke and it's disgusting that the police are trying to cover this up.

Never forget that it's not at all unusual for whole groups of white people to walk around with much, much bigger guns and making a point to have them in the open while in stores or walking down the street. As far as I know none of those groups have ever had to deal with harassment from the police, much less having a fucking cruiser pull up and fire on them immediately.

Not to mention lie up and down about the circumstances.

Most gun owners don't walk down a street with their firearms. Ones that do are almost always harassed by cops regardless of race/gender in some states. And not so much in open carry states like Texas.

Say what you want about white privilege but we need to remember that white people aren't super immune to injustice or even justice for that matter. That's in of it's self a stereotype that needs to go along with racism.

We live in an era where you can learn just about anything about anyone or thing in the blink of an eye, which by all logic should have negate the ignorance we have today (and eventually might). We live in an era where racism wishes it was as bad as it was back in the day (at least here in the states) and is actually on a decline out side of the G.I.F.T which plagues the net, and the police injustices which happen to target everyone with the black community getting the bigger blunt of it as of lately. And most importantly (at least here in the states) an era where race is irrelevant, your either rich or soon to be hosed financially. I know this because a chunk of my friends, as well as my little sister's family on her dad's side are white and number of them have been through some shit. Some cases worse then others.

White privilege may exist to some extent due to racists that still hold on to a dying trend kicking and screaming to stay relevant, the supremacist groups like the KKK which I'm surprised still exists but I'm sure even their days a numbered. But no it's not as big as some people like to make it out to be. A lot of examples of it job market wise are actually coincidences due to the fact that White Americans make up a vast majority of the US population second by the Hispanic Americans.

But think about why they said what they were saying. Why portray him as walking away from a group? It only serves a purpose if they had some larger narrative they were going to portray before it got out that they were on fucking camera.

Kyanbu, I'm at work so I don't have the ability to give a lengthy response so I'm just gonna say, based on the snippets I've gotten out of your post, you have next to no idea what you're talking about, and nobody needed you to remind them that white privilege doesn't equate to total immunity from the law.
