Didn't think the Half Demon thing and the process that Gem would go through to get it would be overpowered. At least from the little I know about the specifics of the class.

That's just wrong. 90 power after STAB for Drain Punch is not a 10 power difference from 120 power Tentacle Leech before STAB.

I won't likely drop any further than 80 Power (120 after STAB) Bug type Attack damage and 100% accuracy with 50% health drain and the single target Haze attached. No restriction on foes.

You misread what I posted apparently. I posted "AFTER STAB" not before. 120 power after the Bug STAB bonus. (80 power before STAB)

Also, I'm not going to be the one that scours Bulbapedia for it, but how many pokemon that know Giga Drain or Drain Punch have 100 Attack like Mollesk? And if there are any with as much or more attack than Mollesk, how broken do you think it would be if they could use a 120 power HP-draining move? And it had STAB?

There are 5 families of (non legendary) pokemons capable of using Drain Punch with STAB (all with high attack), several other families that don't have STAB but really high attack power, as well as several that have it for the sake of having it.

As for Giga Drain? There are a SHITLOAD of pokemons who have STAB and high Special Attack (Grass tends to have pretty good special attack), lots that don't have STAB and have really high special attack, and the total number of pokemons that have access to it is HUGE due to the TM status that it is and that the types that can use it include bug, poison, among several other oddities like water and dragon types.

The buff thing is a added bonus in a manner similar to how Shaymin got that Special Defense debuff on its version of Fire Blast.

Phhhbbtttt. I won't be happy until Renny is about as powerful as a paper bag. The weaker version is, what, 80 power? I'm going to have to request that bosses be immune to the Haze effect, at least.

Anyway, AB, I've got this idea for a new non-Legendary pokemon for my side-RP character. I haven't really come up with a name or appearance or even stats yet, but I wanted to run the basic idea by you first:

Type: Almighty
Ability: Indifference

Indifference (Ability)
This pokemon recieves no STAB bonus for any attacks. Enemy attacks do not recieve a STAB modifier when targetting this pokemon. This pokemon is not affected by buffs, debuffs or protective moves (Protect, Barrier, Light Screen, Renny's Serene Blessing). All attacks used by this pokemon deal 1x damage, regardless of typing, and ignore enemy buffs, debuffs or protective moves. This includes bosses. If a boss has an impenetrable shield, this pokemon can attack through it. If a boss can dodge any attack, this pokemon can hit them anyway.


I'm on the fence about how powerful to make it's stats and moves. Pretty much any attack we use against any enemy ever is super-effective, so it's kinda hard to tell what kinda damage 1x attacks can do. Still, I'm not opposed to the idea of giving it a low-power moveset and not-all-that-great stats, but either way the stats wouldn't be very high since it isn't even pseudo-legendary.

Besides, I am giving it the ability to hit otherwise-invulnerable bosses, so that's another reason it's strength should be gimped. What do you all think?

That way I can prioritize allocation of my rage. And somehow I'm thinking that Menarker will become a... priority.

And Drac: Even if AB allows it, it'd probably be with crippled stats. As such, I do not think it would be all that useful outside of battles against invulnerable bosses, or where we need an absolutely certain amount of damage. I don't think it'd pull its weight.

And besides, weren't you going Slayer?

Seriously now, it's situational, you're saying? I didn't realize that every other single pokemon we have is so versatile! We always use any of our pokemon in any given situation, right?

I don't really see how it's different from any other pokemon, you know. Except instead of using it against foes that are weak to water we'd use it against assholes.

I suppose an alternative is to remove the "forced 1x damage" thing. Alternatively, how would you feel about a move that randomly doubles one of it's stats for three turns and can only be used in three-turn intervals?

Battle Master. Presumably, our side-RP characters would start with the same number of upgrades we have now. And they wouldn't be forced to spend their first four on their first class.

Dude, I spent most of the "wall of text" summing up the rules stipulations that AB made, asking questions, and clarifying them for everyone's sake. At least take the time to read the stuff. It's good for you.

And I also said and quoted that you're contractually not allowed to point your rage at me for anything Mollesk based. So frankly, save the rage for Faynoc or Burkmont... Or I guess you can deal it to Drac since he's being a pissant whiner that constantly bites the hand that feeds him. ^^

EDIT: I've been thinking over Pierce's Signature Sequence with Shizuka and I decided to make some changes. Need AB approval.

Signature Sequence (Pierce and Shizuka)
Apple Season: Apples rain from the sky in front of three unsuspecting enemies and Pierce and Shizuka split them all in a flurry of strikes, damaging the targets.
Effect: Severe damage dealt to three enemies, 50% chance of Internal Bleeding, 50% chance of Instant Death.
Consumes 80/100 Rage Points.

Let's see now... what do I need to get done?

New pokemon for side-RP? Check.
Fix Signature Sequence? Check.

Minor details about Pierce's sidequest? Get that done.
Tyranitar's and Aria's UBER-forms? Get that done.
Pick a team for my side-RP character? Get that done.

Bah, uber forms. My kingdom to whoever helps me come up with names for Tyranitar's and Aria's Xth-level evolutions. I fucking hate names.

Hm... AB, if you have no other plans for it or no one else wants it, can I give Palkia to Sam once she joins up?

^^ That's the few that came to mind atm...

And I gotta think of stuff for my side quest character too... Would be nice to know what sort of builds everyone else is planning though.

AB: Before we all forget, Dante says to ignore the payment of rage for Pokeshift in Gem's plan since he still has a turn left, he said (and Gem never responded to that). I presume the rest of the plan will go off without a hitch due to that little change
