Final Fantasy X: Quest for the Final Summoning

Im using machina (they refer to guns as small machina in the games), I'm just hiding em and staying out of the holiness' ways. I say that we either get Stewie to appoint a co-RPL (RP Leader) that knows the outline of the story (which I think he doesnt even know, but thats only cuz he keeps saying that were free to make stuff up) or he gets online and posts more, or we just post less.

Well, since at the rate it's going, we won't post less (Or at least I won't) and he won't post more, so we need a co-leader. I would vote Celes, because A) She is one of the two Summoners on this quest, B) She knows about FFX, and C) She has RPed here frequently so she knows the rules and she is around more than Stewie.

I'll take it if she doesn't want to and I refer you to "scene of the crime" so you know I can run a successful combatless rp (Combat rps are easy keeping peoples attention without violence is much harder.)

So...if I'm reading this right, if we put you in control, we'd have a RPL who already has a god-mod character in waiting, PLUS we won't be in many combat situations...

My charachter is no more god moddy than any ones. You seem to be thinking in terms of diablo II a maul is a powerful weapon in diablo 2. Here it's about as strong as anybodies weapon, if not weaker since most of my damage would have to be magical in nature. If you want a maul give your charachter a maul. I'm just not carrying a freaking doll around like the black mage in ffx. Considering people in final fantasy swing around swords so huge they'd either snap a humans wrist like a twig, or snap at the hilt my choice of weapons is inconsequential.

Why would there be no fighting in a FFX RP exactly?

there would be, I was saying that running a combat free rp is a lot harder than a battle every thread.

I would not think so... To run an RP with a battle, you need a story. Battles are just inbetween the story things. If you just throw a battle in whenever you can't think of something, that RP will die.

And your RP is more of the players are doing everything that involves the story, but you are the eyes and the ship.

You want me to be the co-leader? I'll do it, but I'm not promising anything. I've played with the thought of an RP like this, but I never actually thought it all through... If I'm gonna be helping leading, I'll have to come up with some stuff, and quickly!

Are you sure you want me to lead? (how long has it been since Perditions ended? I haven't led a RP in awhile...)

It's not that hard to come up with something. Due to FFX, this is just the basic run of 'Summoner gets all summons, goes to Zan, gets Final Summon, kill Sin'. Just pick a city to start in is all you need to do really.
