So pipboy, despite you not having any actual qualifications on anything related to evolutionary selection processes.
Allow me to link you to an article that explains just why everything you've posted about that is rubbish. http://edge.org/conversation/the-fal...roup-selection

I just love that pipboy tries to imply that a cultural construct is driven by evolution. AS we all know there have never been any matriarchal societies.

I want to seem like I'm supporting socially progressive causes but I also don't want to feel guilty about looking at boobs. It's quite a conundrum!

It seems pointless to boycott Atlus over this when almost every other company does it while simultaneously not bothering to talk about trans issues at all or have LBGT characters in their games in the first place...
Okay, you disliked what they did with the trans character in Catherine. Name another games company with the same cachet that would have even bothered to put a trans character in the game at all? Or any of their games? Or made it an important issue in the plot? I'm not saying the cover art of CoP isn't oversexualized or the email tagline wasn't needlessly sexist, but boycotting Atlus seems like an extreme thing to do when by and large they are one of the only companies even bothering to try to be sensitive to the issues at hand. It would make more sense to simply boycott CoP or other games with oversexualized imagery and make that the crux of the issue. That way the targeting is towards the things they are doing that you dislike, so they can alter how they go about portraying those things in the future. EDIT: Most of this is coming from what people have said about the trans issues in Persona 4, which were mostly positive comments. Looking at the Tumblr you started you do a good job of laying out exactly which games/aspects of the games are insulting/insensitive, so good job on being specific in your criticism.

The game also uses a mad scientist experiment as a metaphor for gender reassignment surgery. Later, the player is able to abuse the way Naoto feels about them to make them act more feminine. Last, but not least, the swimsuit added for Naoto's character in Persona 4 Golden as well as a light novel Atlus has put out about Naoto that takes place several years after Persona sexualize Naoto as a woman. All that is pretty fucked up, so maybe you should stop talking about how people should be grateful Atlus is trying at all.

I did a lot of posting on here as a teenager, and I was pretty awful. Even after I learned, grew up, and came to be on the right side of a lot of important issues, I was still angry, abrasive, and generally increased the amount of hate in the world, in pretty unacceptable ways. On the off chance that someone is taking a trip down memory lane looking through those old threads, I wanted to devote my signature to say directly to you, I'm sorry. Thank you for letting me be better, NPF. |

(I have the day off today and can thus afford to be angry if the thread calls for it, though I would obviously prefer not to be, so please, nobody say stupid things.) |

Ah, well, if they are actually full of themselves and breaking their arms patting themselves on the back on these aspects, then that is another thing entirely.
