This is strangely a character I have very limited knowledge of, although I do have a very sweet animated GIF of his victory pose. This is pretty much how DC operates. Sorry if it sounds like I'm tossing, but I find it hard to believe that any DC character, Power of Plot removed, does not at least have a rough equivalent somewhere in Marvel.

I've been playing Dawn of War a lot lately and reading the warhammer 40k wiki.

I offer the following:

A Space Marine (Warhammer) vs a Spartan (Halo).

Space Marine with a Bolter, Spartan with an assault rifle. Or a battle rifle if you like.

He's pretty comfortably above Surfer, if that helps.

You can write it up to whatever you want; he'll still run circles around Surfer. Flash's super power is "being a lot faster than you."

Hey so it turns out there's this guy called Gorilla Grodd, he's like Professor X except on top of being a powerful psychic he is also a gorilla, instead of a dude in a wheelchair.

Flash beats him up all the time, not because Grodd isn't a good enough psychic to stop him, but because he is fast enough to do so before Gorilla Grodd can use his psychic powers to shut down his mind.

There's a reason the Flashes are always best buds with Green Lanterns.

I like that one scene in JLA where it looked like Grodd had won, but oops, turns out Flash did some rewiring on that power-booster in the middle of the fight, and Grodd wound up turning himself into a vegetable.

The Space Marine basic sidearm is a fully automatic miniature rocket launcher and it only goes up from there.

Those guys are hardcore.

Seeing their basic training includes things like "We're going to drop you on the other side of the hell-winter planet with no equipment and if you fight off all the wolves the size of bears and junk and survive to make it back here, you've probably got what it takes." I'd have to give it them.

Yes I know Spartans can magically infiltrate their way out of a training scenario to get equipment or whatever, but the Space Marines just strike me as more likely to win a fight.
