One thing I like about this weeks chapter is someone finally called Ichigo on not really taking any effort to strengthen the bond with his sword.

Seriously? The bond? I thought he bonded so hard he melded with the damn thing, became it, than forged a new one by melding the Top 10 Bleach Shonen Jump Supah Favourite character list's souls together into another one...

If anything, i would give Ichigo lip for never learning more than 1 attack... also when he started Bankai'ng he was suppose to be ultra fast, but quickly after that he simply became "as fast as everyone else".

He is a lazy bun that strawberry he is...

Yea which basically ended with him sacrificing it. I dont think you can say you have a "strong bond" when you caste it aside.

they explained this in the full bring arc. Ichigo's bankai had been nerfed ever since the soul society arc by his substitute badge

yeah this is the thing... i haven't seen the new chapter yet, so i dunno about it... but has he actually lost his sword spirit forever (Zangetsu is gone) or is it just "banished" cast aside or somesuch? Like, maybe dormant or something like that...

We've yet to see Zangetsu himself again. Same goes for HiIchigo.

I'm guessing what he's getting at is that even though soul reapers in general talk to and bond with there sword in the back of their minds most of them still think of them as little more than talking swords.

Woo Bleach is back!Digging around on the Bleach wiki, he did kill the previous 11th Captain. Which means Unohana changed her ways a decent amount of time before Zaraki entered the Gotei 13.
