Woot! The game's almost full now. I'm liking the fact that thaere's a decent mix of people who played last time, and new players. I note that almost all mafia members from the last game are playing this time. Hmm...

I think that if the game starts at night, nobody should have to die at the beginning.

It kinda ruins the fun for those who do. (Like GARUD in the last game.)

Potentially something like this:

Blahdeeblah, a vanilla townie, town-aligned was killed by some random mafia-ish way. Blahdeebleeh, another vanilla townie, town-aligned was also killed, cut from his navel to his jaw and hung from a tree, etc.

But only if it's like last time and it started at night. If it started during the day, then it's all good.

The initial kill is the basis of discussion. Without that there is nothing game related to talk about on the first day. Now if the SK Vig and Mafia all get a kill at the beginning it would suck. I think the mafia should be the only ones to get a kill at first thus game wise making a vigilant mad, a serial killer want some blood, make the cop get off his lazy ass, making some un-game related person hire a body guard. And the cult should get a draft in the first night. That's how I would run it though. It's up to CMP.

wow, this should be a pretty intense game. i look forward to it.

edit: what happens when two groups attempt to kill someone? is there an awkward exchange in the streets? or what if the bodyguard is protecting someone when the two groups come after thier target? does the gaurd take both kills, or will the gaurd and the target die?

All deaths will happen, unless the bodyguard steps in. For example, if the SK targetted a player and the vig targetted the SK and the mafia targetted the vig, three players would die (the player, the SK, and the vig). If all three groups targetted a player being protected by the BG, the player and BG would live and three hits would fail.

If the SK targets the vig and vice-versa, both players would die at each others hand.

And yes, if you're the SK, it is hard to win, but think of the bragging rights!

Also, I'm contemplating starting it on Day 1 as opposed to Night 1...I know that some people will say things like "But what will we discuss without a death!!", but look back at the first game's first Day; Garud was dead but that never popped up in the discussion, besides some RPing.

The RPing is what sprung the discussion. Like PM checking the body and giving himself a mental high-five. Stuff like that is what really started it. I think. I was thinking earlier "How are we going to discuss when nobody has voted for anybody?" and so I looked at the old thread. And found the RPing started it all. Or at least most of it.

Also, Kikuichimonji (did i spell that right?) quoted the "I'll take a stab at it" quote by RMB when GARUD was stabbed to deeath. Guess people should have listened, eh?
