To clarify snes, Nuke was never intended to "fight in" Ragnarok. Odin already knew how Ragnarok would happen because all the gods were fated to play their roles in it. Loki was of the opinion that Odin went a little mad over the years (perhaps it was the other way around, maybe a little of both). Loki wasn't ready to "give up" and let Ragnarok happen. So he created/sired/whatever Arel and hid him from fate so that his role in Ragnarok would be undetermined. He planned for Arel to start Ragnarok before it was "supposed" to happen, thereby breaking the fate that chained the gods.

Nuke wasn't exactly fire, he drew his power from the stars. And Nihel drew his power from reality, if I remember correctly.

It was, but that's because it sounds more mystical/powerful/interesting than fussion or electromagnetic radiation. So Chrismith is right.

Yeah, it makes more sense to have Arel be the manifestation of pure yang, and Nihel be pure yin (although a true yin's manifestation should be female)

So how did Loki not know that his destiny was to have a child "hidden" from Fate, and it was Nukes fate to "break" Fate and start Ragnarok early. SO wouldn't it be Nuke's fate to fight Nihel? Also, when we say Fate, is it like, they were meant to do it, or is it like (what I gathered from what Nihel said when he attacked Rachel and Sparky) even if he doesn't want to an invisible force makes him do it.

Well, who knows how rational Loki is, or was when he came up with this scheme.

As to the "how" of Fate, it's a bit more subtle than that. It's more like your present and future acts are already determined based on what's already happened. It doesn't really matter what you "want" to do, things are going to happen the way they happen.
